Film"The Road Home"

China’s film industry started in 1905. The Country’s first stage documentary film was entitled “Dingjun Mountains”. The first sound movie “Female Singer Peony” was produced in 1930. The year of 1938 saw the establishment of the Yan’an Film Troupe in the liberated areas under the administration of the Chinese Communist Party. The Troupe was renamed Yan’an Film Studio in 1946.

By the end of 2000, there were 31 features film studios in China, 16 of which are at the national level. There are also five film studios which produce animation films, agriculture films science and educational films, and documentaries, four professional copy processing studios and one professional dubbing studio. About 100 feature films are released every year.
