Founded in 1951, this quarterly carries information
on contemporary Chinese fiction and poetry, classical
literature and literary criticism. It is published in
English and French, and distributed to over 100
countries.
Most readers are foreigners
interested in Chinese literature. The journal focuses on
translations of outstanding contemporary Chinese literature,
but selections from modern and ancient literature are also
included. It contains sections on novels, poetry, drama,
folk literature and literary criticism, and information on
writers and artists, books, art appreciation and literary
trends. It is excellent for all who appreciate Chinese
literature and/or are students of the Chinese language.
Chinese Literature Press also publishes Panda
Books in English and French. The Panda Book series include
