Founded in 1952, this foreign-language book
publishing company is Chinas oldest and largest. It
now publishes books in 18 languages, including English,
French, German, Russian and Chinese. Topics include the
economy, politics, law, literature, arts, tourism,
traditional Chinese medicine, health care, sports, martial
arts, Chinese language teaching, dictionaries and
childrens literature.
Foreign languages
Press has published 20,000 books in over 40 languages,
promoting friendship and understanding between the people of
China and the rest of the world. In recent years, it has
cooperated with international bodies and participated in
copyright arrangement to publish a growing number of
excellent books.
