On December 28, Mr. Bo Xilai, Minister of Commerce of China, sent a message to his Indian counterpart Mr. Kamel Nath, Minister of Commerce and Industry to offer condolences to the victims of the powerful earthquakes and tsunamis. On December 31, Mr. Sun Jiazheng, Minister of Culture of China and Mr. He Guangwei, Director of China National Tourism Administration also sent messages of condolences respectively to their Indian counterparts Mr. S. J. Reddy, Minister of Information & Broadcasting and Culture and Ms. Renuka Choudhary, Minister of State for Tourism over tsunamis.
