"China-India Friendship Year through Tourism" Reception Held in Beijing on 24 May 2007.Officials from Chinese tourism authority noted, 2007 is the China-India Friendship Year through Tourism, which is an important measure taken by leaders of both countries to deepen China-India strategic cooperative partnership. Both sides will hold series of activities regarding tourism, to expand exchanges and cooperation in this regard.China and India are both ancient civilizations, and the two peoples enjoy friendly exchanges of over 2,000 years history. Being populous, both countries have the great potentials for the development of tourism and enjoy vast prospect in the cooperation of tourism sector.
