In January 1985, Chairwoman of India Catholic "Benevolence Nun Association" Mother Teresa came to visit China at the invitation of the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association. During her visit, Teresa met with Chairman of the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association Zong Huaide and Beijing Parish Bishop Mechael Fu Tieshan. On Jan.22, Kang Keqing, vice-chairperson of the CPPCC National Committee, met with Teresa and her party in the Great Hall of the People.
