In December 1953, a China-India Friendship Association delegation led by Chairman Ding Xilin visied India. The delegation attended the first national conference of India-China Friendship Association and the meeting of the establishment of the association. Pandit Sandalal was elected as the chairman of the association. On Dec. 11, Ding Xilin addressed the opening ceremony of the conference.
