On Dec. 20, 1956, a Chinese women delegation led by Minister of Justice Shi Liang visited India at the invitation. Chairman of the All-India Women's Congress Mrs. Lakshmi Menon and Indian Ambassador to China L.K. Nehru's wife were at the airport to meet the Chinese delegation.
