Main Programs of the Cultural Exchange between China and India in 2001

From China:
1. An Exhibition group, headed by Mr. Chen Zui, a Chinese painter and art critic, took part in the 10th Triennial-India.
2. Invited by the India-China Society, a delegation of the Chinese People*s Friendship Association with Foreign Countries paid a visit to India in February.
3. Invited by the Mrs. Komal Anand, Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India, Mr. Zhang Wenbin, Director General of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China, led an archaeology delegation to visit India in April.
4. At the invitation of the Indian National Academy of Letters, the Chinese Writers delegation will visit India in December.

From India:
1. Invited by the Ministry of Culture of the People*s Republic of China, a goodwill cultural delegation from India will visit China in May.
2. Invited by the Ministry of Culture of the People*s Republic of China, an official delegation from the Department of the Culture of India, will visit China in August.
3. Invited by the China Performing Arts Agency, an Indian dance group will participate in the 4th Asian Arts Festival in October in China.
