On September 24, 2008, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun delivered 200,000 pieces of commemorative stamps to Iraqi ambassador to China Dr. Mohammad Sabir Ismail. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Iraq, the stamps are printed by the Chinese side for the Iraqi side for free. The two officials also exchanged opinions on the bilateral relations.
